TownLedger keeps a ledger of local businesses in every town across the United Kingdom: who they are, where to find them, when they open and what customers say. Our aim is simple: give you the facts you need to choose a local business in under a minute.

What each entry includes

• Who they are: the business name and what it does, from cafés and hairdressers to plumbers, accountants and local offices.
• Where to find them: a full address and phone number.
• When they open: regular opening hours, so you don't arrive to a locked door.
• What customers say: ratings and reviews to help you compare options.

How we keep the ledger

Entries are built from publicly available information and updates sent in by business owners. We refresh our records regularly, but hours and contact details can change without warning, especially around bank holidays. For anything time-sensitive, a quick call to the business is always the safest check.

Help us keep it accurate

A ledger is only useful if it's correct. Business owners can add or claim a business to keep their details up to date, and anyone can report a mistake the same way.

Free and independent

TownLedger is free to use. Appearing in the ledger doesn't mean we recommend a business, and we don't take payment to change reviews. Our Terms of Use explain how the site works.
